From July 1, 2022, India banned single-use plastic items including plastic cutlery

Carrying your own cutlery can help to solve the plastic crisis. We throw away billions of single-use plastic spoons and forks a year. This movement could make a dent in that huge amount of waste.

The Ocean Conservancy lists one time use cutlery as among the items “most deadly” to sea turtles, birds, and mammals, and alternatives have proven particularly difficult to come by, though not impossible.

Toting your own eating implements was not only a logistical but also helps avoid illness. If you come with your own, you don't have to worry about someone else's germs.

Save the environment, carry your own cutlery.
